Bureau of Engraving and Printing to Participate in the American Numismatic Association National Money Show in Fort Worth, Texas

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (Bureau) will exhibit at the American Numismatic Association’s National Money Show, March 25-27, 2010 at the Fort Worth Convention Center, 1201 Houston Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102.
The Bureau will proudly showcase its “Billion Dollar Exhibit” which features more than one billion dollars of rare and antique currency including sheets of $100,000 currency notes, Treasury Bonds, and gold and silver certificates. The Bureau will display an exhibit featuring two currency face plates from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, a Series 1934-C 12-Subject $5,000 plate, and a Series 1934-C 12- Subject $10,000 plate.
Additionally, an antique (19th Century) Spider Press will be on display at this convention. A technical expert on currency production will conduct printing demonstrations on this Abraham Lincoln-era press and answer questions. Employee demonstrations, by members of the Bureau’s Intaglio Plate Making, Photoengraving & Engraving Section, and a member of the Mutilated Currency Division will be conducted during show hours throughout the convention. The Bureau is excited to offer the following new products for sale:
- “2010 $2 Single Note Collection” (Second/Final Installment). This installment features one $2 note from the Federal Reserve Districts of Boston, Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas and San Francisco with a serial number beginning with “2010xxxxD.” Notes will be released individually for the first time on March 25, 2010 and will be available for purchase for $7.95 each.
- American Numismatic Association National Money Show Intaglio Print Card featuring an exquisite compilation of unique engraved images, representative of the state of Texas. This card is the second of three in the “2010 Intaglio Print Program.”
